theHUB @PATH (“theHUB,” “we,” “our”) is a program of PATH Employment Services, based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a contact form, request a service, or otherwise communicate with us through this site, you may provide:

  • Your name and organization
  • Your email address and/or phone number
  • The contents of your message or request

We ask that you do not include personally identifying information about jobseekers or clients in any web form unless and until that form is explicitly secured for that purpose.

Information collected automatically

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Approximate location derived from IP address (IP anonymization is enabled)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Referring website

We do not collect or store any data through analytics unless you have accepted cookies on our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded.

2. How we use information

We use the information collected to:

  • Respond to inquiries, service requests, and referrals
  • Provide consultations, professional development, and OT assessments where requested
  • Understand which content and services are most useful to our visitors
  • Improve the site's structure, content, and accessibility

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and analytics consent

On your first visit you will see a cookie banner offering an explicit choice. Your preference is stored locally in your browser. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.

4. How we store and protect information

Form submissions are routed to a secure inbox managed by PATH Employment Services. Analytics data is processed by Google and is subject to their data handling practices. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

5. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to meet any legal or operational requirements. Contact-form submissions are retained for the duration required to respond to the request and document service delivery, after which they are disposed of securely.

6. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
  • Make a complaint about how we handle your information

This site may link to external resources (e.g., PATH Employment Services, partner employers, Google services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their respective privacy policies.

8. Children's privacy

This site is intended for employment professionals and adult visitors. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
